Martha is a Sacramento-based couples and sex therapist offering virtual sessions across California.
I help couples move out of disconnection and conflict and back into intimacy — emotional and physical. Using The Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy approaches, I work with partners navigating infidelity, mismatched desire, sexless relationships, communication breakdowns, and the everyday drift that happens in long-term relationships. I also support clients individually with body image and their relationship with food.
Rebuild Connection — Rebuild Intimacy
With Your Partner, and With Yourself
Sex Therapy and Couples Therapy
I work with all different types of couples who have experienced infidelity, ruptures of trust, differing sex drives, or difficulty communicating about sex. I work with clients who feel love in their relationship, but are unsure how to bring a spark back into the bedroom. Maybe you keep having the same fights and feel stuck in a negative cycle. It’s hard to feel sexual desire if you aren’t feeling heard, valued, or respected. I help clients rediscover their connection to passion, themselves and their partner(s) using the Gottman methods to increase communication and emotional intimacy so that we can deepen physical intimacy.
Depending on your needs and goals, I offer ongoing couple’s sessions, as well as three-day couple intensives. Issues we can work on together include erectile dysfunction, premature or delayed ejaculation, sexual health issues, building intimacy, anxiety around intimacy and sex, performance anxiety, lack of sexual desire or interest in sex, arousal disorders, orgasm disorders, difference in libido or sexual play preferences.
